The front of the "1974 Audi R8" is almost a dead ringer for the Aston Martin Lagonda's front end.

Yeah, it is pretty close. Integrated much more successfully here, if you ask me. I think the R8 is the best design of them all.

Just Googled about a bit. Bristol was shuttered in 2020 but revived in 2021 by another owners group.

Looks like the entrepreneur is hoping to build eight ‘continuation’ models before going electric with new models. The price for the continuation models will be about £500,000 plus VAT - and I’m sure that’s a figure plucked out of the air.

I see he proposes to call the production facility an ‘atelier’, and their showroom a ‘brand experience centre’. God help us…

I’m sure he’s well-intentioned, but whatever he ends up doing (if anything), Bristol Cars will remain deceased in every important respect.

I suspect what he has now are the wooden ‘body formers’ bought at auction, together with some spares, and the sign from the old Kensington showroom. There’s a long way to go from there.

Got my car back from my independent mechanic. Gotta love Lotus. I haven't driven it in two years and it's running strong with no seal leaks. I got new rear tires installed and balanced, oil change, brake flush, KNN air filter clean and oil, radiator pressure test, new head light - all for well under $500 (not including the tires). Incredible!

He's the best... just an all around great guy too. He only works on Lotus and Aston Martin on weekends... his day job is at Porsche. I don't know how he does it. Wife, kids, job with Porsche, weekend wrenching for people like me, and he races motorcycles and spec Miata, and a boat on the lake.

You've got a great setup - a great wrench with modest rates. I'd do less of my own if I had that locally

I always say, don't save your car (or motorcycle or watch or whatever fun thing you have) for the next owner!
