can't remember a game with so much incident -also should hang the referee on the Shankly gates -Gerrard should be hung alongside him as well

At first I thought it couldn't have been intentional since its Gerrard, but it clearly was.

However, I must say that no yellow for Di Maria is baffling. How do you make a handball more intentional than catching the ****ing ball in bounds?

Although, I will say I loved seeing Balotelli getting into it and needing to be held back by the fans. I want to see him fired up.

We need to be basically perfect for the rest of the season, but so does United. We can still pick up points on them.

I thought Balo looked like he had sending off number two written all over him from the moment he came on. He was way too fired up.
And nothing so clearly illustrates how he will never be of any use to us than the moment Coutinho flicked a ball into the space beyond two defenders that Mario should have been running into, only to look up and see him mooching about in midfield. Coutinho's reaction said it all. I wonder how many hours they've wasted trying to teach him that stuff in training.

Balotelli has always been an accident waiting to happen -completely overrated in my view -gladly we got rid of the guy -if we all tried something outrageous , one out of ten times it might look brilliant - bringing him on at such a moment was indicative of the managers complete desperation - but what really has annoyed me today has been the confirmation that in the premier league - that cheating has become endemic - to see a big well built guy like Costa and many others going down after a 'fairylike ' assault and then to try to have guys sent off really cuts me to the quick - i fear one day this kind of behaviour will eventually kill the game as a spectator sport -it is maybe an indicatio of the attraction of this game that the projected audience for the Barca v Madrid this evening is 450 million whereas for the Lpool game was 750mil !!!! what a shame Lpool did not turn up - really annoys me that these guys could not motivate themselves at Anfield against man utd ofall teams -absolutely disgusting

I didn't see the match, but I'll say that most times attackers fall, they are hit by a defender. The late Sir Bobby Robson said it all, when he said that Maradona's goal in the world cup would never happen against another team other that England. Because HIS England was a team that defended without kicking the legs from under attackers. Bobby Robson was one of the greatest ever IMHO, English football is poorer without him. I think the attractiveness of the PL is the attacking football, defenders need to be taught how to play clean.

on the contrary it is the attacking players that generally abuse the system and behave like pussies -
