Thread: Food

My wife's gone to visit family in Thailand for a month. She left Sunday night...this is what dinner on day 2 looks like for me:

In my defense, that's a truly great supermarket pizza.

It's made out of those pizza boxes and acrylic paints to achieve a faux Travertine finish!

Is it a real ikea LACK table? Or gussied up pizza boxes as well? If so, you've got serious pizza box skills.
It is now my duty to completely drain you.

Everything is pizza boxes...Fortunately we've got coyotes and not wolves so the house should stand a while longer.

Re table(s): They were my wife's purchase so I'm not sure of the name, but they are from Ikea and cost like $13 a piece so we've got them everywhere. They double as my portable watch photography studios.

    And, it is done:

The pizza, the Conundrum California red which nobody knows exactly what's in it...all gone. I tasted notes of blackberry jam and paint thinner (in a good way - ignorance is bliss). At the moment I'm watching The Sun which is shaping up to be about as good as Downfall. As of this writing I feel like Ernest Hemingway and plan to scale the local volcanic plug in the morning - all 22 million years of it. I use that number because it sounds more impressive than 513 feet.

Day 3 might be Negra Modelo and Mexican take out. I've got a bunch of trappist beers but I'm not sure what goes with them...ice cream maybe? If so then day 4's in the books.

    That's a tidy little dish...and if that's a spicy peanut sauce then it's a practically perfect dish.

Not only are your photos and meals consistently among the best looking in this thread, you appear to exercise superior portion control. If it's the alcohol let me know and I'll give that a shot.
