Pain in the arse, manuals. How are you meant to drum along with Adam and the Ants?

That's why you have both an automatic and a manual I will confess "wonderful"is on my Playlist and I haven't found anybody who doesn't like it

Yeah, it’s so much better. Even though my phone connects to the car now, I’m so used to having my Z4, where you couldn’t have a conversation on the phone while driving even if you wanted to, I’m used to driving without distractions. And even being in traffic, I very much prefer to be in a manual. I borrowed my brother’s S5 a lot and nothing about it was fun. It was fast, sure, but that’s it. I never really enjoyed driving it and part of that was due to the automatic. There’s more to it than just that, sure (I mean, I also borrowed his S4 a lot and that was better to drive even though it was also an automatic), but the automatic part always stuck on me. Maybe I’m insane, but I like the way interiors look with a manual better than an automatic (especially now that everyone has such weird automatic transmission designs) and I like looking out my window and peering into my car window and seeing the shifter slotted neatly into 1st.

I mean, can you tell me that this weird alien joystick thing:

No ants in my car, I don’t allow any food in. And my friend Adam lives clear across the state.

    I'm biased but it's a fine interior.

Is your M4 an automatic? Those are both 435i interiors, the only differences are the transmission and steering wheel. Mine looks exactly like the bottom picture.

Manual. Mine looks like the bottom too. Just, flipped vertically.

I do like the interior a lot. It’s clean and relatively simple for a modern car, but without resorting to the “we stuck an iPad to the dash and called it innovation” thing that the car industry is in right now.

But you mean horizontally, right? Or did you move to Australia and that’s why you’re upside down?

Apparently so, yes. I wasn't sure if flipped vertically meant flipped on its axis that bisects the image vertically. I'm not sure I agree with the opposite....
