Who could object to Dame Shirley Bassey? Entirely appropriate.

In the EU, lawyers use the Doctor title. Even though that's on my diploma, I'd never use it in a million years. I agree with Robert Heinlein, the title should be reserved for actual medical professionals, to distinguish them from playground supervisors.

Personally, I think if you have a doctorate, you have every right to call yourself a doctor, and a JD is a doctorate. Of course, culturally, lawyers don’t use it, and as such, I don’t use it, except when I facetiously tell people to not do things that are stupid, like holding a crystal to recover from illness or I give purposely bad medical advice jokingly, like taking Demerol to even themselves out after cocaine.

I thought this was pretty cool that the 2025 Ford Mustang GTD became the first American-made production car to lap the 'Ring in under seven minutes, with an official time of 6:57.685

That is cool! I’m surprised no Corvette has ever beat that, especially one of the C8s, which I don’t like but is a monster.

GTD doesn’t mean diesel, does it? It always makes me think of the Volkswagen GTD. But if it is diesel, that’s all the more impressive.
