I use to love to sail. That’s a bit much thorough. Even back in the 80’s while patrolling the Caribbean (when I was in the USCG )we came across mostly sailboats abandoned out at sea. We never found the people on the boat ( I was one of the divers), and there was no mechanical issue with the boat. I sailed quite a few back to port back then. Now with pirates I would not have anything that appealing to pirates and that slow. If I did it would have a healthy complement of weapons on board.

I agree we need boats here also.

She's done, except for new wheels. Cranking out almost 475 WHP on the dyno with so many mods since last update here. Handling is like it's on rails with the frame brace, both sway bars, tower strut brace, coil overs and Michelin rubber all upgraded or added.

I'm not one for visual mods, looking to keep her as stock looking as possible, with the only signs being lowering on H&R coil overs, exhaust tips and ceramic window tint.

Every time I drive this, I'm in automotive heaven.

I love watching Hellcat, Vette and Porsche owners in my rear view mirror.

    Anyone else here a modder?

Did not dyno at stock, but after Stage 1 tune with a few other mods and it was a tick over 300WHP. Additional mods at Stage 1 got it closer to 350.

Going Stage 2 or higher requires a turbo mod, went with is38 equivalent APR kit.

    Sweet!

I used to have modded Audi A4, and my Lotus is quite modded.

My Lotus, when I had it, was also modded, but "just" with a BWR supercharger and slightly larger tires. Didn't really need anything else. Oh, some cosmetic mods in the interior, too, not performance related.

93 high torque tune. E85 is not available enough to consider.

I remember. Do you miss it?

I bought mine used already modded, but it had a lot done to the engine and exhaust - custom ported head, upgraded valves, bigger injectors, and stronger pistons, super charger, intake, and things like a baffle oil pan, toe link brace, plus it was corner balanced. The suspension was untouched, but because it is a Sport Elise, it has the adjustable Ohlins and they are the star of the show in my opinion.

I do miss it, but I was just getting too hard to get in and out of it, plus no storage space to speak of.
