This was a gift from 18 months ago, a birth-year Port. Finished the last glass tonight for dessert. The people who gifted it joined us for dinner on Sunday night. We decided to open it, so we could all enjoy it together. Subtle and sophisticated, not oxidized, youthful for its age.... but I must confess that very old Ports only provide surprise in the fact that they are still pleasant after decades. It's not as if they turned into Ambrosia... just smooth and pleasant, and not fallen apart.
Too many watches, not enough wrists.

Sounds delicious, glad it held up! Obviously stored properly
I admit, I attempted to zoom in to see how much particulate was visible LOL

A fair crunchy cake of flocculated tartrates and tannins! I confess I used a filter at the end to squeeze out the last drops.

Apparently their taps are not working, so it was "how about a can of the only IPA we have?" LOL

Post-hike refreshment in lobby bar, tasting local Copperline amber ale. Quite good, but maybe a tad too cold for my taste.
