Yes, the can get to be the size and weigh more than an Australian Sheppard. I've seen many in Rural PA get to be close to 70-100lbs. Many of the groundhogs in PA are bigger weight wise than the deer here in Florida. Sometimes 2X or myore. Deer in PA are quite regularly 260-350lbs for males. Hitting one that size is like hitting a brick wall.
    Cheers,

Where I grew up started as farmland, but by the time I was in middle school, almost all the farmland had been sold off and developed into suburban neighborhoods. Still, we did have some decent wildlife come by. The aforementioned groundhogs did live in my backyard for a while, we had dozens and dozens or hundreds even of deer come through. Absolute units, the bucks could be, you’re absolutely right. My whole life, I was used to deer that size; I was in for a shock when I saw the deer in Nara, Japan, being about the size of a large dog. Smaller than a Great Dane. One time in my Boxster S, I was bombing down some back roads at night and came across a pack of deer crossing the road. Were it not for Porsche’s typically excellent brakes, I probably wouldn’t be here having this conversation, as I would definitely have been eating venison tartare the wrong way. The buck towered over the car.

We even had a couple coyotes come through the backyard, that was a thrill.

Definitely. Having lived both in PA and FL, I can confirm that the deer in PA are double the size of the ones in FL. IL deer are kind of in the middle, size-wise.

I've seen groundhog day and remember the premise of repetition, but didn't think to question the name, or remember/notice that the animal existed.

Bmw used to renew my warranty at £795 a year but I'm at 70k miles so it's £2k now. No thanks. I've had so many problems the lack of warranty is making me worry. The reason I'm looking at a supra is due to the monthly payments - £650 or so - similar to what I currently pay. I can get a 911 or cayman/boxster for £44k but the monthlies are huge - like £1k a month so they're out. Supra is 2022 with 3k miles on and has a 100k mile warranty if serviced by Toyota main dealer every year.

Test drove this yesterday. It drives great, playful and twitchy, great gearshift, and looks fantastic (fake vents notwithstanding ) but everything else is worse - it's cramped as hell, like driving in a coffin, zero visibility (like the original), not a convertible, worse interior, the volume button makes me wince when I touch it it's so plastic, the sound system is even worse than in my m4, the engine is so quiet... But I do kinda want a new car.

Can't get this one as, incredibly, someone did the 1st service at a non main dealer so warranty is out. There's a nice subtle yellow one nearby though that's cpo...

I drove one of these when they came out, and then a few years later when they retuned most of the car. These solved the twitchy issue. Nothing can solve the small cabin on this that made the F Type seem big ( and even my 5 foot tall wife says the Jag is too small). I’ve always felt that all BMW cabin materials are garbage except for the 7 series, so I don’t remember the Supra being worse. I will say it looks a bit like the switches on the Toyota Tundra Truck, which while they may not feel like the BMW’s they are probably five times more durable. Toyotas don’t generally have many interior color options which is an issue for us. Since I’m old school, I don’t use audio controls on the steering wheel, just the cruise buttons, so I probably would not notice this. We’ve had 12 Toyota/Lexus vehicles over the past 25 years, and they have been bulletproof. In most cases service on the Lexus have been not more expensive than the same at Toyota. Warranty is important, but from my experience, you won’t have the service department on the speed dial list. For us this has been oil changes and consumables only. Based on many of my neighbors in South Florida, the BMW likes to spend a good deal more time getting service and repair.

You have some transmission options we may not so you might check an IS F 500 or a RC F 500 Lexus. Maybe they have manuals there. The second listed above is the reigning iMSA GT P champion against all the exotics and you will not find either exhaust note too quiet. They have 5.0 liter naturally aspirated V8 at near 500 hp.
