Jeez, sorry dude. We have the deer warning signs in England but I've never seen one! Guess they're more common your way.

Rest up chap. And be sure to post when it's new bike buying time!

You see them the second they take a blind leap over the hedge and land in front of you.

I’ve hit one and narrowly avoided another. My insurance company didn’t have a category for the one I hit, so ticked the box for ‘hit pedestrian’. It took a while to get that off my record.

I hit a groundhog once when I used to live in Pennsylvania. Destroy the air damn on the front of the car so I had to go through the insurance company to get it repaired. I was getting letters in the mail from the insurance company that were talking about my accident with Mr. Groundhog. It was pretty funny at the time. In Pennsylvania, groundhogs are rather large in rural areas.

Where I grew up, we had two groundhogs live under our deck in the backyard. I was shocked at how big they got. Haven’t seen any since I moved to the city, though.

Have you seen marmots in the Alps? Groundhogs are their smaller American cousin.

We have a whole holiday built around one. Groundhog Day. Also, a film of the same name based on the holiday.
