No idea, some use it but not much evidence apparently

I use Atomic Rhino, very strong and I get through lifts that I would not have done without it. If you're going to compete, most feds don't allow bottles on the platform. You have to use the ampules.

Been slowly working my way back since the pandemic. Taking it slow on bench, because it is the one of the three big lifts where I need a spotter if I want to push. Squat? I am not afraid to sit it on the bars. DL? I go to a grunge gym so I can drop if needed, and no one cares

Bench though...bite off more than I can chew alone? Repercussions lol

That said, I found a spotter I trust on my last visit. Clean rep of 295 lbs. That was pretty exciting

On bench, I regularly max alone in my gym with no spotters. I fail occasionally and do the roll of shame.

Don't press to the rack on your attempts. Stay in comp form, stay braced, let the bar come down below your pecs, roll it down your body.

    Lots of examples on YT.

Benching your max without a spotter is madness

Just do dumbells. Better all round!

I db bench regularly, though usually incline. Not one I risk overdoing though, took a long time to get over a shoulder injury
