I prefer the black wheels on the Lotus for a few reasons. The silver draws the eyes to the wheels not the car. The black blends to the color of the car and allows the eyes to view the whole car more naturally. If it was a lighter/brighter color or red the silver would work better and be the right choice. Would prefer grey/black chrome better on the British Racing Green. The darker wheels also don't show brake dust as much, are easier to clean and less prone to staining.
    Cheers,

    Michael

Nah kidding he likes them, but chooses not to waste his money on them. Wise man.

I like my Toyota Highlander Hybrid. It carries stuff.
Last year we had hospitality suite tickets to the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.
    The vintage Figonis were astonishing.

Too many watches, not enough wrists.

I don't disagree with any of the above... I just preferred the silver.

When I was playing with the configurator (which I did extensively), I found that the black wheels all but 'disappeared' in the arches on the Dark Verdant (and I didn't/don't like that), but looked really good against the Hethel Yellow and (to a lesser extent) the Seneca Blue. I didn't bother with any of the other colours as they were not for me. I decided the yellow and blue were 'too loud' for me; and once I'd seen the green IRL - I was sold.
I like that the wheels stand out and don't think they take anything away from the curves of the car.

Money, like time: Spent on something you enjoy, is never 'wasted'.

That's my attempt at being physilophical.
