Aren’t the Boxster and Boxster S still available with a manual?
Although, I’m wholly uninterested in the 718. A 4 cylinder in a Porsche feels so wrong nowadays. Especially at $70,000+. You’ve got to be kidding me at that price. Many years ago, I’d hoped for a GTI-derived mid-engine platform, maybe branded as a Volkswagen or even an Audi to go below the Boxster, but to put a 4 cylinder engine in an $84,000 Boxster S, a car that will surely top $100,000 by the time you add things like doors, seats, and a steering wheel, I’d rather buy a 997 and cozy up to a Porsche mechanic. If the Boxster still started in the $40,000 range, that would be one thing, but at this price range, it’s a very unfunny joke.
