I’ve tried it, but didn’t so any good to my knee. But then again, I’m not a labrador.

I suspect most people are under nourished. They'll probably live fine lives. But I'll give them a try to keep my recovery.

I have clients in their 50s, 60s, and one in their 70s; you can be fit and strong as you age.
I'm not upset that I physically can't do things I used to. I accepted that a long time ago. This isn't that at all. What's upsetting is that my internal desire to run has dwindled. I used to go batshit crazy when I couldn't get in my runs. I loved the rest days I took (my biomechanics weren't made for long distance running) but I would become very cranky if I had to scrap a run. My desire to run just disappeared, and it makes me very...sad and angry.

Once in awhile you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right.

Do you have a federation in mind or still looking? Do you lift raw, wraps, or equipped?

I have not looked in 3 years due to pandemic, so I do not remember federation that sponsored the events I was considering. It had a focus on natural lifters, USAPL sound right?

I lift raw, no belt, no wraps, no straps. Hand chalk is about as far as I go lol

For the first time in years I'm almost injury free (touch of climbers elbow still) and I'm feeling strong. Very excited to get back into lifting again.

USAPL and USPA are the big ones for raw lifting. In my area, USPA used to be the best because of the person who ran this region. There was some infighting and a split and he started the USPC, so our local USPA meets aren't run as well as they used to be, but it's still a good federation.

I train lighter lifts without a belt, then use a belt for heavier lifts. Example, squats this week were...

Warm up (heel touch, goblet 1.5 squats, foam roll adductors and calf, calf mobility, back squats of 15 up to 125kg)
    125kgx10 no belt
    143x8 no belt
    152x5 no belt
    165x5 no belt
    175x3x3 belt
    143x12 belt

I use SBD knee sleeves when I do any pulling or squatting. Give them a try, most raw lifters use them. I also only use a 6.5mm belt for training, but 10mm for max attempts or competitions.
