1817 horsepower in that car. It’s rare that you see a car with so much horsepower the number looks like a year.

    Jesus

    When will it end?

I'm sure they said that when we first hit 400bhp in like the 90s or whatever

Not really my cup of tea, either, just thought probably not a lot of people have seen one...
It is a Hennessy the Viper 5. Needs 99 octane racing fuel to make the 1800 +. Only 1500 hp on pump gas 92 octane.

I think the most powerful car I’ve ever driven was a 604hp Mercedes S65 AMG. 1500 feels like plenty, to be honest.

The thing weighs like 500 pounds more than an MX5. Acceleration must be absolutely brutal.

I purposely wrote it that way for that exact reason. Think about the implications just for Octane alone can account for over 300 hp. So you get the performance of a turbocharged AMG or BMW M series six just by putting in the higher octane. One thing I did not know is there is a racing E85 fuel that apparently this uses based on some of their photos on the site. It shows a can that says E-85 only being put in the car.

For comparison, the S65 AMG is the same as my Alfa at 275bhp per tonne. The Hennessy is 1300 bhp per tonne. Even on standard fuel it's over 1000bhp per tonne. I can't even begin to imagine what that would feel like.

Close, your bike works out to 985bhp per tonne with both on standard fuel. This gains over 30% with racing fuel. I don't think scaling it up this way depicts a real estimate.
