Thread: The cars and bikes thread!

Replacing my riding gear this year. Part one is replacing my lid. I tried this on in L in the store, but it was a little tight and they weren't interested in sourcing an XL for me to try on. Revzilla has hassle free returns, so ordered this from them, along with darker internal and external visors. Full carbon fiber, it's very lightweight for any helmet, never mind the other modulars.

Old vs new. Surprised the modular isn't much larger than the old GP-Tech.

Next up is new jacket and pants and a new bike. Since they aren't bringing these to the US, trying to find a low mileage '19-20.

Mustangs are truly terrible cars! I'm not sure if the auto is worse than the manual. Close though. Not even sure I like the v8 burble. Gotta be done though, can't drive to Joshua Tree in a German car.Name: 20220401_175224.jpg

You should have rented a Dodge Hellcat or a Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. zoomzoom

You can Rent a C8 Corvette and all of those the top comes off or goes down. It would embarrass all but the real elite supercars.

Rental Mustang fleets generally don't have a Mach 1 (Basically a Shelby GT350 minus 50bhp) or a GT500 with the track pack. Those are the Mustangs that the M Competition equals or actually at the track eat them alive. Also at the track Lexus RCF are very competitive at or near the top of their class.

Hellcats and Trackhawks are strictly strait line missiles. Through in a turn and they are not even as good as the Mustang GT.
    Cheers,

I'm picking up a new car in a couple of days. I've booked an suv to crunch the miles but I'll see what upgrade options they have

I like Mustangs, but it has to be a properly optioned GT with the right bits. Otherwise it’s just a good looking cruiser for the everyperson.

I would think in California you can find exotic car rental services and drive nearly anything you can think of. US domestic or foreign.

Look for a nice Cadillac Blackwing to get silly with and eat up the miles ...
