Zahav tonight was excellent.

Started the meal with:



Duck hearts and



Crispy lamb tongue



Then for the main meal I had:



Duck kebab with fig jam and some other stuff.


Dessert was a coffee custard with raspberries. Very good.




Really, really excellent food. I would order the duck hearts again in an instant, same with the duck kebab. The crispy lamb tongue was good, but a little overspiced for me. Not much you could taste but the spices and a hint of lamb. The coffee custard was really good as well.

Only real drawback was the drinks. They're trying to get too creative for their own good. One whiskey cocktail I had was so bad, my friends urged me to send it back, but I refused. You sipped it and all you could taste was pepper. I couldn't even drink it without making a face. The waiter overheard and got me a new drink immediately. Great service. I'd definitely recommend this place.
