New. As I said I like the new noses much better. There were no M3 Comps to be found in three states (Dallas TX was the closest I found and they would not hold the car for me), and it was not supper clear what trans is in those. If it is the tried and true ZF 8 speed auto then that would be fine(Had it in three Jags), but with no manual the auto manual in a BMW is a non-starter. Every BMW person I trust said to stay away from those, and had the horror stories to go along with their point. The new M4 manual feels like it has rubber bands in the mech and is a sloppy mess that you're never quite sure where each gear will be when you shift since it seems to float around. No clue what the older one was like. That the manual gives away 40 hp and like 70ft/lbs of torque to the auto and you can't get AWD in the manual also doesn't help.

I love it. One of my wife's clients asked her to meet him half way to Ft Lauderdale (which is about two hours away) since he fears his EV cannot make it up and back in one charge (About 190 round trip). These are still five years or more away from being usable cars except for local commuters. It's not range anxiety, it's reality. These things are not baked yet no matter how much KoolAid you drink. Won't have one until they can still go 500 miles on a charge after they are three years old, or can charge from near dead to full in 10-15 minutes.
This makes as much sense as solar for the house which based on the quote I just got would cost $276 a month when my average electric bill is $139. Add that I don't need to replace it every 15 years in Florida or possible have to still buy electric from the electric company on bad whether days. This is only good for the guy selling the systems. This is also technology that is not quite baked IMO, but probably more along than electric vehicles.

The is really only 3 distinctive front ends on the Audis now. The bar grille, honeycomb, and no opening. The sedans and suvs have the bar grill as base, suv vertical and sedan horizontal. The s lines have the honeycomb and the e trons have a weird no opening version.
All that said I would take an RS6 in a heartbeat no matter which one it had.
