I laced up the skates today to fill in for a friend with a sprain (was +2 with an assist! Game was a tie). When I was a kid and played a lot, Mum would always make me pasta and potatoes before a game. For really special games, it might be a veal or chicken parm on linguini with butter-baked fingerlings, which is an assortment of some of my favourite things. This was a play on that, but I couldn't bring myself to have pasta and potatoes at the same time, I don't need to carb up that hard. It's not a parm either, I did a panko flattened chicken breast with gruyere and a basil sauce I made for pizza a while back, I froze what was left and thawed it out for this. I broiled white and red (how patriotic) mini potatoes with red pepper and sweet onion.

Felt great to be playing again. I skate often, but have not been on a team in more than 5 years now.
It is now my duty to completely drain you.

Bit hard core with kale and broccoli salad. Citrus dressing , toasted almonds and a little goat cheese.

Then tonight it was a raw food night...

The author of the recipe said the didn't count as completely raw as there was Dijon mustard in the dressing!

I just can't stop grilling these boring ol' ribeyes...

Regarding fondue; I can't believe I'm saying this but I agree with Chronopolitano. Fondue is alright (who doesn't love cheese) but as a whole meal, meh...

That's just not fair, juicy steak and red wine.

I don't mind the Vegan/vegetarian cooking but we are also on a 5-2 with alcohol, and no Monday is not one of the 2.

I had ribena and club soda with my raw broccoli salad !

Anyone tried cooking meat in the oil fondue and then dipping it in the cheese fondue? I can imagine enjoying that in my sodden youth

Sometimes you find yourself in so deep that the only option is to keep going. Semibacchanalian is not a word
