I get these microwaveable udon soups that I add meat to. Usually turkey sausage, but sometimes if I have leftovers that I'm a little tired of, I'll cut them up and throw them in. Then I add a generous helping of Frank's Red Hot hot sauce. It's actually not that high on sodium, even. I'm a big fan.

I went grocery shopping this morning and found a hidden bargain.
I prefer European butters but they're pretty expensive here as you can imagine, so they're a infrequent treat for me.
Today though I found in the top of the refer case Kroger (big chain like Tesco or Sainsbury) brand real French butter with the higher fat content and added cultures.
It was about $1 cheaper than Plugra or President, so I picked up a packs. Haven't tasted it yet but it should be great.

Lunch. The aforementioned udon bowl with some leftover chicken thigh:

    ^^ Yum!
Will have to grab some udon bowls when I’m allowed out

Joy Larkcom’s Oriental Vegetables book has just opened these up to me - now that I can recognise them, I can assemble my own soups and noodle dishes from fresh ingredients

Made some chorizo and pak choi soup the other day, now exploring choy sum, more mustardy

I’ve been a fan of miso soup since my student macrobiotic days, but tended to keep it pretty simple, adding spring onions and beansprouts
It's the final countdown! PM me before they're all gone!

You don't have access to Kerrygold? We find that to fit the bill.

We have Kerrygold but it's so overpriced it's laughable. I mean I love Ireland and the good people there but it seems Oruna Foods is trying to balance the trade deficit solely on US Kerrygold sales.

Psst. btw, I think Guinness may have a hand in it, too!

This morning, blackberry orange pancakes, bacon, and black coffee.
I smothered the cakes in the french butter and Canadian maple syrup. They were great!

Kerrygold is pretty expensive, but it’s good stuff. I like getting the tub Kerrygold for spreading, I don’t cook with it anymore because it’s too expensive.

Try the french butters. Or Plugra, which is made in the US. It's got the higher fat content.
In your area you should be able to get eicher butter. It will be pricey.
