    Very hard to find a R with the carbon package. Kind of like buying a preowned Rolex though. It might be better to order new from a dealer. I did find one near me with only 1200mi. They could not have messed it up too much with that milage. Look for the thick spoke 7 spoke wheels if you want the carbon package.

    Base GT350 packages are fairly easy to find, at least here they are.

    The GT350R is out of my budget anyway. I'm probably still going to need to find a winter car, so $75,000 on the R isn't going to happen.

    Although, if I get like a two year old GT350, which will be plenty reliable, I could get a TT convertible as a winter car and not worry about how old manual ones are now.

    I agree, you are not looking for the capabilities of an R. Even though I am considering getting a track car, I’m not certain I need an R.

    I would consider a Civic Type R if the dealers did not have the market all screwed up here with their false $10k market adjustment add on to the price. Just out of principle I will not do it. Add that the GT350 is at lest five times better looking than the Honda. The Honda will go through snow, and you could have a Miata as your convertible. That might be a better combo.

    My friends have a Civic Si. It's a good car, I just couldn't live with those looks. If I were being practical, I'd just keep my Z4 for a year or two longer and take a lease on a Golf R.

    A GT350 and a TT Roadster is the perfectly quirky two car garage that fits my personality, you know? Plus, people have this misconception that just because there's snow on the ground it means that it's not top down weather. I disagree with them and love a good top down snow drive. So the AWD is nice. Because the Z4 is on summers and it's not pretty when there's any amount of snow out there.

    That's a beauty. If it wasn't for the fact that I actually need a usable back seat for my son, I would have gotten one (Eco Boost) instead of the Audi.

    Well I'm glad you didn't. Eco boost mustangs should be banned.

    Trust me I would have much preferred a GT, however I drive a lot of miles to work so would have needed the better gas mileage, and then there is the insurance....

    I think you made the right choice. You can't get a Mustang and not get a V8!

    Oh deffo. Same here. I just have strong feelings on what a mustang should be!

    I agree. My first 3 cars I ever owned were a 1993 5.0, a 1995 5.0 and a 1997 4.6----->
