A neighbor of mine is an assistant curator at the Lane Auto Museum (gyrocar) in Nashville.

Wow! I hate sunroofs. If I buy a car with one, I check that it works before I buy it, then it's never opened again.

Never heard of the car. It certainly blooms like Blackmagicfu##ery the way it just sits there balanced on two wheels.
Check out the description for a link to it's restoration and how the gyroscope does it stuff.

Looks like someone dropped a very small speedboat on top of a motorcycle and then gave it training wheels.

Seriously cool, though. Now all our car innovation is "more batteries!" or wireless phone integration.

My next car will not have one. It's too damn hot here anyway, I never used it....

Was there an impact to the glass?

I never use sunroofs (too pale ), but generally buy cars with them because they sell. My superwagon has a pano sunroof that covers most of the roof, I had my tint guy black it out so the interior of the car is darker/cooler.

Not unless something fell out of the sky. I was driving home from the store ~ 6:30am and I heard the loud Pop.

Took me a min to figure out that it was the sunroof, it wasn't until I heard the crackling of the glass above me.

Wow, I've never heard of anything like that happening before.

I love sunroofs, though. If I'm in a fixed roof car, I've basically got to have one.

I got it fixed today. The glass tech said it was probably just the heat.....who knew?
