Get that E-type on the road, gorgeous car.

I had one of these back in the late eighties as my first of many Jags. Beautiful to look at, but otherwise a total POS. At that time they really had no value restored so I did what now would be called a resto-mod. The V12 was converted to have a dry sump oiling system, Mikuni carbs, all electronics converted over to easy to source Toyota based items, shocks, and suspension all redone with Teflon and Koni coil-overs...I machined all the brackets and things at my dad's shop at the house. I actually made decent money on it when I sold it a few years later. Now I have my XK8. Much easier way to get there and a worlds better car.

Met a bloke at the dentists yesterday who has just given up driving his Lotus Elise. He’s 94, and his wife had got too old to help him out of it.

His first car was a Frazer Nash like this =





He also remembers steam lorries. I made the dentist wait a bit because I was enjoying the story of his cars.

I live in a tiny village 5 miles away from the nearest train station. The village is lovely, but doesn't really offer me much, except quiet. This is the one day a year it's worth living here! Supercar Sunday

Your village is enormous compared to mine, but just about the only thing that happens here is an annual car show. Well, apart from the Salvation Army doing Christmas Carols outside the pub.

I wish I lived in one of the neighbouring villages - they have tractors.

The triumph is a 1993 trident sprint 900, its a lovely bike to ride but unfortunately the starter clutch went and I decided to get something more modern.

The Bullit is a 2019 Hero 125, it's a massive step down in power from the 900 but it's idea for a commuter bike.

Fingers crossed the triumph will sell this weekend I would have liked to keep it ut I already have a project in the shed
