If I ate your dog you'd be pissed. As would the dog. Same as the pig you chow down on, despite the fact that you could instead just like not eat it.
Want me to post a bunch of slaughterhouse videos? Probably not, because you feel guilty when you watch it. Cos you know that killing is wrong :-)
But animals are well tasty. Thankfully there are some better substitutes.

Wouldn’t bother me in the slightest. When I was growing up there were still butchers who had a slaughterhouse at the back. Whole butchered pigs hung on metal hooks in the butchers shop. Butchers had bloody aprons and there was a reason for sawdust on the floor. Step inside a farmhouse and there were game birds and rabbits hanging off the rafters. I played with lambs in the fields and it’s entirely possible that I ate the same lambs when they had grown up a bit.
There are generations now who somehow think it is a revelation that packaged meat in supermarkets comes from somewhere, that a bloody process is involved, and that it was once running around looking cute, until a captive bolt was triggered. And then they fall prey to anthropomorphism, which leads to dubious moral judgements.
Maybe I should butcher a cat and eat it :-) Or an elephant, perhaps.
I'll find this great video I saw of a cow mooing bloody bubbles through a slit in its throat after it had been slashed in a slaughterhouse tomorrow. If you're totally chilled after watching that then there's probably something wrong with you?

Harvested our 10-year old horseradish to make room in the garden for new plants, and try to break up some serious weeds. Made a bit of sauce to try it out. Hella HOT! I would send you all some if I could, as it's a lifetime supply, but it's rather hard to ship.

I'm ok with most normal meats, like lamb, beef and chicken (although I don't really like chicken that much nowadays cos it mostly tastes so bland) , fish is good too.....
I won't do the peculiar cuts, and I doubt I could butcher an animal (or fish for that matter) myself, but I'm squeamish anyway at the best of times.
I can't do seafood other than fish, that includes cockles, mussels, squid, crab, and prawns.
**(OK, there's probably somebody that finds Elephant and cat tasty)
Most of the time I'm quite happy with some cheese and crackers or on bread with tomatoes or beetroot.....but sometimes I want some pulled ham hock with it (etc) so I'm not a huge meat eater really, but I still like it in moderation. (or should I say in much smaller portions than most people)

Well, this is getting heated.
Geoff, do you remember the time I was needling derAmf about Linda McCartney's sausages? He was being uppity so I pointed out that since the dictionary defines sausage as meat, those were fake meat and he went ballistic. You stepped in and told us to calm down. You were right.
Now is probably that same point.
