Of course, in not allowed to eat winter squash anymore but summer is ok.

Does that include cucumber? We are growing cucumber in the garden this year, and some sweet Japanese melons, but decided not to grow zucchini (courgettes to the UK folks.) Typically we plant one zucchini and we get so much from it that we are sick of it after a month. If we turn our back on it for a few days, we find squash the size of our arms and legs. It's like that scene from Woody Allen's Sleeper with the two meter long carrots. We play a game of "zucchini doorbell ditch" with our neighbors. It's the opposite of package thieves, where we surreptitiously sneak zucchini onto their front porch and sneak away with hopes they won't see us.

Buffalo burger; freshly ground turkey and hot peppers from the garden, blue cheese and celery.

Squirrels are jerks. Don't let the fluffy tails trick you. They have destroyed most of our Japanese cantaloup crop, and they are moving in on the white nectarines, taking bites out of them when they are green, and knocking them to the ground so they rot. I am increasingly tempted to take violent measures.

That is a popular game in these parts too. In my old neighbourhood one of the "lucky" recipients too to carving them into emperor penguins and then putting them back on his front porch for people to steal.

Guaranteed squirrel solution: lawn chair, good pellet gun, and handy cooler with favorite beveridge.

Wasps suck. In between beheading flies ( which I guess is good...) this one seems to be eating my Anaheim peppers. If he touches the cayennes or Hungarian wax peppers war will be declared.

Wasps DO suck. I got stung on my neck at 70mph yesterday by a wasp, on my bike. The impact hurt enough and somehow it stung me! I don't blame it, but still.
