Where I live until the last decade, frozen seafood was always the better choice. There's enough demand now that it is pretty easy to acquire good fresh seafood.

I feel that frozen should be better generally. Why would fresh be superior?

Most of it isn't particularly better anymore and small things like shrimp, if properly and promptly frozen are probably better. 15 or 20 years ago though, a lot of fish was not frozen as soon as it was caught.

I still won't eat things like frozen snapper though. It's nothing like fresh. It's slushy and mushy and , well, yucky in comparison. I also still find superior fresh caught salmon or steelhead better than superior frozen. The texture changes, as does the oil in it.

Griilled fresh pineapple marinated in chiles with homemade pancetta and red onion. Yum.

Don't ever eat a pizza with canned pineapple, or pineapple preserved in any fashion for that matter though. That is ungood.

Other than the fact that anything the Donald is against is automatically good, that's fine. The world would be a boring place if everyone only liked boring pizza. How do you feel about anchovies on pizza?
