On my Lotus, they intentionally fitted skinnier (175) tires on the front of the base model Elise to give you more understeer. I switched to 205s in the front, which was what came on the sport models (both models had 225s in the back), which tamed the understeer and made a significant difference in the handling without causing unmanageable oversteer.

Same... I can't remember the numbers but both front and rear tires are wider, quite a bit more in the rear, actually.

    Original sizes:

    base:
    175/55r16 front
    225/45r17 rear

    sport:
    195/50r16 front
    225/45r17 rear

I switched to 205/45r16 in front when I got new shoes.

For comparison, the Aston has 245/40r19 front, and 285/35r19 in back. Almost the same size as my Panamera (255/45r19 and 285/40r19).

Even though I occasionally drive like a lunatic I don't think I've ever experienced either understeer or oversteer on my car. Screeching tires yes, but nowt more.

Just got a marketing email from tesla with a questionnaire that you complete with your priorities in a car and it tells you of you should but the s, x or 3. Told me I should get the s. It didn't ask about budget...

I guess you didn't choose the priority "Not bursting into flames".
