Luiz tackle today. Malicious and could have been a leg breaker.
All I am saying is I would so much later take a boot to the face then have a player come flying in with their head and smash heads. Heads collisions are a lot more painful and a lot more dangerous.
I have had 3 concusions playing soccer. One was from a similar situation to the above red card. I was standing still and another player came flying in but with his head. It is one of two times I have been knocked out. I would much much rather take a high boot then that kind of contact.

We agree on the Luiz tackle.
I'd rather avoid both a set of studs to the head and a head collision. I've also had both playing soccer, but I do think we need to have players hold back in some situations. Ppl are taking years off their careers and even lives by these collisions, which in many instances are avoidable.
Feet have no place 6 feet off ground when anyone is near imo. You can go for it, but if you mis-time it, be prepared to see the red. I don't see that as destroying soccer, rather trying to preserve the players.
But let's get back to the games instead. More fun (well not this week...)
Liverpool go from bad to worse. Cant score, won't score
i like Klopp as a person but i'm afraid he has been found out as a coach ! the fans are turning against him without doubt

I mean, how do you expect a team to perform when its best player and one of its most influential players is out injured? Mané may make a huge attacking difference, but armband or not, Lallana makes Liverpool tick. Stop being so fickle, football fans.

I didn't see the match, but I also read that when Coutinho was substituted at the half, the game shifted quickly from LFC's favor.
Of course the League Cup (I'm just not going to say Carabao, which is a Red Bull knockoff from what I gather) is a nearly worthless competition, especially for clubs already dealing with European fixtures. But the defensive lapses only serve to fuel the narrative that Liverpool and Klopp continue to operate without a plan at the back. Though honestly giving up only two goals is a pretty good result for the club, and most would not care had they scored their usual handful of goals.
