    The cars and bikes thread!

    I took both of our kids out on (deserted) icy streets and culs de sac in snow and ice to teach them what ABS feels like, how it behaves, how to recover from skids, drifts, etc. it was worthwhile, and hopefully they'll never get into a dire situation requiring them to remember, but you never know...

    I did all that shit on my own. My dad never taught me anything. A 16 year old self teaching winter driving fundamentals in a RWD $50K car--the stuff PSAs are made of.

    Interesting side note. The plural of cul de sac is technically culs de sac, though cul de sacs has become accepted through its misuse, much like "chomping" instead of champing at the bit.

    Don't assume ....... They might mean they are at one stage above 'couldn't care less' ....
