It's impressive, but I wouldn't fancy driving it up the ramps of a British multi-storey car park.

With some American cars, I run my eyes along them and can't quite get to grips with what I'm seeing. Not a criticism, just a sense of there being two universes on one planet.

    I kinda agree....

I expect the Americans would think the same of some our past cars , it's just what you've grown up and around with becomes the norm ....

There isn't a multi storey car park within 100 miles of me.

When I first got my license I lived in a hi rise apartment building with multi level underground parking. No problems, even with the big cars I drove back then.

Wow... all of my dream vintage cars. You're friends must have been well off for those. Were't those costly back then? They are now.

Back then they were worn out kid cars. $200-$600.
This was in the N.W. Wash. D.C. area. Lots of clapped out foreign cars on all the lemon lots back then.
Kind of like finding 15 year old Integras, Civics, etc now.
Of course, prices have gone up....

We had a 98 one of these. One of the last cars that you could seat 6 in just two rows. The truck was huge and it had self leveling suspension if you filled it. Comfort was like the best couch you've ever sat in. The best part was we would get 27-29mpg out of it on trips. It was just too big for us so we sold it.
    Cheers,

    Michael

We've got way more space here than you guys do. Hence the bigger cars.
