Something about Good Friday and buying cars for us. My wife said she was sick of the bigger car and wanted to get something smaller to replace the XJR. Since it kind of her car and I really only drive it on trips, I didn't really care. We went up to Palm Beach Friday where there is a dealer there that specializes in pre owned, and just off lease cars. We never really buy new anymore. They have pretty much everything there as far as brands and models. She found a 2017 Infiniti QX 30 AWD with 10k miles that has every option they offer in it at a very good price. It 65% a Mercedes GLA, but with better sheet metal, a bit more room and in our opinion a better nav and infotainment system. It also uses about half the gas of the XJ R. She loves it since it reminds her of the E class that she loved and it doesn't have the column shifter like the new E does. So we left with a new car/ SUV and a nice five figure check. It actually is fun to drive and handles pretty well.
She saw a red Corvette while at the lot, and said we should watch for a Z06 there to replace my F type R. She hates how loud the F is ( even in the quiet mode), and the money from the XJR would easily cover the difference. To be honest if the 2016 Porsche Carrera 4S Cabriolet they had was white instead of black I think I would have run home for the title and F type to trade it. I miss my 2009 that I had. Actually I could easily live with a well optioned Boxster S given how little we drive. The 911, F Type and Vet are a bit of over kill(in a good way). We just like to have one convertible. The Porsches and the vet are actually usable for a week end trip and every grocery runs. The F type is a bit limited.

Went for my first drive of the spring to the Olympics....since it was 'supposed' to be a nice sunny day.
It was raining and foggy most of the time, but it was sunny and dry on the roads that mattered.
Ran into a Focus RS owner - nice guy, also from the area.

Well, the pick of the F-Type litter is the 380hp V6 manual. I would trade the 5.0 for that.
