That's good. I like having the option.

I don't remember my older BMW having that mode. IIRC it was on or off.

    I don't think that's a bad idea.

Intake + Exhaust + (good) tune is a good start. It will see the car breathe better, reduce lag and deliver power more linearly and may even improve fuel economy.

Does BMW support AccessPorts? Or something equivalent? On my Evo and Ralliart, It was very easy to switch back and forth between a stock map or eco map or power map.

If you can get sway bar upgrades, I'd recommend them as well....makes a world of a difference in handling.

I'd recommend against slamming the car down or wheel mods to start with.

Only thing is I got such an insane deal of my car I could probably sell it for £3k more than I paid and buy a stock 335i which has more power, and no warranty issues...

Unpalletable, for a stack of reasons.

    I'm a big turbo fan.

But a BMW I6 is a truly special thing. They sound amazing and are wonderfully smooth. No thrashiness at high revs like I4s can get. I get compliments on how my Z4 sounds all the time. People ask me if it's the stock exhaust, because they don't realize that a sound that good can come from factory. BMW I6s are magical.

Yeah, newer BMWs have a two stage traction/stability control system. DSC is the standard; one touch moves to DTC, I think a press and hold turns the system off completely.

There's an E90 that parks near my house sometimes that's lowered about that much.

Predictably on our roads, the front bumper is smashed to bits and hanging by a thread. People just don't think about things when they lower a car that much. My car is stock with about 3" of ground clearance, and I have to be careful all the time.

Nope. This wasn't a judgment, it was a joke. Actually two jokes...

Yes, it's the same on the CTS-V, even at stock heights, I have to be careful. I see slammed out cars all the time, but I just don't see the point.

In most cases (unless you know what you're doing) lowering has the opposite effect of making the car worse to drive.

If that's how you feel, then you should go ahead and buy the 335i, especially if its in budget.

A 335i is a fun car to drive...
