More of the bread. This has the best crackle I have ever managed on a plain ordinary French style sourish loaf.

Jerk seasoned pork rib roast, fire roasted, with a guava rum habanero glaze.

Not shown- pumpkin rice and a really dry and minerally Canadian reisling. Delicious with the fruity jerk pork.

    My dinner earlier today

    Duck spring roll

Crispy duck (yup,I specifically asked for less rice and extra veggies)

Fried fish (I don't know what's it called in English,in my language the fish is called as "gurame")

And I drank jelly and nata de coco ice topped with green colored cocopandan syrup

It seems like I didn't gain any weight despite what I ate...in fact from late August until February I did a no carb, high fat diet called ketogenic (do the google search for more informations),for someone with slow metabolism problem (I suffer from hypothyroidism and I have to take artificial thyroid hormone tablet daily) I managed to lose roughly 7-8 kilograms and went down roughly 2 sizes on denim pants (was tight on sz 36 and now I have to cinch the belt pretty tight on the very same denim, and some of other pants sz 34 are already a bit loose,I can even fit some of my older sz 32 pants, albeit still a bit tight)

Now during lent,I'm trying to do the so called Catholic fasting in which I try to only eat one (bigger) meal a day instead of 2-3 meals a day (I need bigger meal to fulfill my daily calories requirements

I am not too proud to admit when I am wrong, and I totally blew dinner tonight. I put chicken pieces on the upper grill of the bbq and got distracted by the TV (baseball has started) and they were very burnt when I jumped up and remembered. I like to leave chicken untrimmed for the bbq and let it cook off, but even on the upper grill the flames can jump up, and they did. And then the Jays lost.

I was too upset with myself to think about taking a picture, but if you asked a child to draw chicken pieces on a plate and only gave them a black crayon to do it, you'd have an appropriate interpretation.
It is now my duty to completely drain you.

I think we've all been there at least once.

An interesting variation of curry. Chickpea and squash with vadouvan spice blend. This is our first try at a vadouvan.
