I had a huge fallout with an idiot seller for this. He didn't seem to understand I just wanted the actual, honest value putting on...

How much was it? I'd be tempted to mail the seller telling him how much extra I had to pay because of his exaggerated price.

Lol ! No I think you misunderstand lads. I paid $400 but where's a bit of common dishonesty when you need it ? He could have stated $200 on the declaration and customs would have had to take his word for it surely ?
I wish customs were as apt at catching people hiding in the back of lorries

The problem is if he declares it at $200 then he is only insured up to $200 if it gets lost in the post

got to be honest mate was thinking the same if it's like a business they do it cheap as they can afford to lose one or two in the post but an average joe maybe not so much .

as sending it half the way round the world is a risk so if I was doing it I would want to insure it to the max too but yes that would increase the cost to the buyer but I still would in case the buyer was not honest and say lost when not or damaged on arrival or what ever..

when I sell a watch I will only do first class special del .. then it's cover to the max whatever happens then

but maybe I would have said to the buyer up front this and say well do you want to declare it and pay up front then it is less then it being done on arrival ...

or so I have been told

think they could have discuss it thou
