    Does it make me a snob if I just poured a six pack of Miller High Life, that was left in my ice chest after a super bowl party at the neighbor's house, down my sink?

    My mate left some carling round mine once and it was all I had. I turbo'd it with a scotch of bad scotch I was given - made it much more palatable.

    You could've also saved it for beer batter where the only real necessity is bubbles.

    Maybe not a snob, but lacking foresight. I have the remnants of a 30 pack of Bud Light in my garage after my old boss brought it on a poker night a year or so ago. It's useful when people come over and would not enjoy good beer.

    We went to an alumni event at the university last night and my wife won one of the door prizes;

    So a pre-dinner caesar ( with the bacon rimmer and bacon bitters) is in order/

    No, there is no good way to deal with that.Cooking anything with it will only ruin your supper and you certainly don't want to drink it.

    Let me know how that vodka is. I don't drink vodka, but my brother does.

    I am not that much of a vodka drinker either. I like a decent caesar once in a while,but that is really about it.
    It is no Chase but Lucky Bastard is perfectly fine. Neutral spirit. There Gambit gin is their best product.

    Their products would be difficult for you to find. They are a local micro distillery. Two of the three owners used to live next door to me. Lovely young couple. He was a med student and she worked for the local phone company. Then they won 14.2 million dollars on the lottery. They are still lovely people.

    Glad you agree. To speak to Raza's point earlier, I don't typically have people over who won't enjoy good beer. Not to mention that when I am entertaining it's based around food so I will 9.5/10 be serving carefully selected wines to pair with whatever we are eating. Yes, even a smoked brisket...
