Rabbit stew is lovely but oh the number of bones.

I once was having a nice chat with my stepbrother in his kitchen, as he was blithely beheading and skinning a rabbit he had had hanging in his garage for a week. Quite how he learnt those skills, having been brought up in fairly central Hull, I'm not sure.

Oh, the thing that got me there. My friend ordered the duck leg, and when it came out, I was very jealous. But the duck was just okay, and the rabbit was fantastic.

The restaurant I went to was very inconsistent. Some great dishes (the rabbit with grits...which I have never liked before..was amazing, they had smoked potatoes which were mind blowing), but so much of it was just blah.

Yes it is. I've had it in a few different forms now, meatball, mortadella, sausage, mole, et al, and I've liked it each time.

It's incredibly versatile. It's a little like chicken, but so much better, that way.
