If I had the £££ to change my car and I was ok with breaking my lifelong rule of "never buy a brand new car, let someone else absorb the depreciation", I would plump for the up-coming Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifolio.
Rear wheel drive (finally gone back to the way it should be), 3.0v6, 500bhp with a 0-60mph figure of 3.9secs![]()

When buying on PCP (not the drug) new cars have better offers, and lower Apr % so costs less per month. E.g a new polo gti is 260pcm, a used one might be 400. Plus you can get good discounts of new cars - 15% off the gti which actually takes it below preowned prices (though it's a new model so that will change).

That's because manufacturers want to sell new cars.
That's one of the problems the industry faces, especially when you are talking about the middle market performance models.
When the car is/was as good as say, the E46 M3, what "real" reason is there to upgrade?
This on full volume sure got my juices going:
Yeah man - awesome. Though for r8 money I'd buy a lambo, porsche or Aston.
