My wife loved the Grand Caravan we got as a rental on our last visit to Florida; I quite liked it myself.
Totally impractical for 'over here' though: Apart from the fuel consumption, it'd be a pain to park.... Most of our parking spaces are only just wide enough for a regular car, and I really wouldn't fancy trying to negotiate a multi-story in one of those because they're like sardines at best . Probably end up using the sliding doors more than the front ones !

Yes, having been to the UK, I'd have to agree. Although it's still called a "minivan", it's hardly "mini" anymore. Even over here, where roads and parking spaces are much more generous in size, I use my small cars for in-town errands for easier parking.

I find myself wanting a Giullietta Cloverleaf except nightmares of 147's wiring loom issues keep my sanity in check.

although I do know that part of me still just wants one of these

    edit:

Modern engines look so crap - just black plastic everywhere.

    that's not too old.
it's the 3.2 V6 (obviously) that saw service in the GTA cars from about 2002 (my gut says it was a 2001 motorshow car) to 2005.

My memory is hazy on this but after the use in the GTA cars, I think they actually changed the 3.2 for the 159. I recall an article mentioning a different source (as opposed to the original Alfa V6 - and the more I think about it, the more I want to say it came from a truck/van/lorry).
My memories lust for a 147GTA.

    those wheels....

Just browsing through this thread again, filling in likes where I originally missed them. But man, the Polo is a good looking little hatch, isn't it? VW is really missing an opportunity here by not selling it.

Thanks dude. It's a great car. However, I 'need' more power. Plus I feel that I look a bit young in a small hatch, which I am no longer. Hence the trip to bmw. Were it not for the dog I'd have a z4 or s2k. So with him I need 4 seats, so m2,or...a4? I want a convertible. Like a douche.

What coincidence... literally just got back from tearing it up in the mountains today in this - first time in quite a while, the weather was a perfect sunny 70s!!
