It would be a shame if he were to go on the wall of players Brendan Rodgers has set up for failure.

Balotelli has nobody to blame but himself. It's not as if he has a great history and somehow Rodgers ruined him. He was lucky to get a chance at a club like Liverpool and he completely wasted it (as most thought he would).

I am hoping Chancel Mbemba is going to turn out to be class for Newcastle.

Of the possible top six, the only team that doesn't seem to need one is Chelsea but if they pick up an injury or two that could be a problem.

I mean, what's a top class defender? David Luiz? He's great, except for at the defending part. Otamendi? Sure. He's top class. But there has to be a happy medium between "oh wait, I'm supposed to stop that guy?" and "YOU SHALL NOT PASS!" Something better than Dejan Lovren.
