Please forgive my dumb question, but what do nigella seeds taste like, or do they have any taste at all?
Just curious as I see them listed in a number of recipes, but never tried them before.
Not a dumb question! They taste a bit nutty, peppery, and a bit like caraway. Imagine a black sesame seed slightly burnt and mixed with black pepper? Basically they taste like Nigella. Really good on top of Persian flat bread.
