Some of the schtuff I had at a few nice restaurants around San Fran over the last few days:
Tartare with fried rye:
Bay abalone and diver scallop in roe, squid ink and duck consomme:
Sous vide filet with morelles, artichoke and red onion jam:
Lobster, fennel and marinated strawberry with fried quinoa:
Traditional cassoulet:
These are crummy phone pics, I ate some great stuff in PR as well but was using a real camera. When I'm arsed to get it out and sift through the photos I'll post more.
It is now my duty to completely drain you.

Yum
Last night after work I cooked for two days, but was so hungry that I ate the whole lot.
Which meant today I was just peering into my cupboard, going, ummmm....
Thankfully something edible can be made out of rice, shallots, a couple of small tomatos, tomato puree garlic, fresh ginger, soly sauce and paprika. Pretty basic but enough to refuel before going off to work![]()
