    Just saw an ad for a SBGR053, Japanese vendor. The English blurb had an authentic wonky charm, especially this:

    "It continues for about 72 hours at the time of the biggest hoisting"

    Actually it's good you mention the date window about that specific watch - one of the things I have against date windows is their interrupting a pretty (and if I've bought it, probably sunburst) dial. The dial on this watch is famed for being so deep and dark that you can't really see it. So, I was wondering, what happens to my complaint.....?

    Why don't you quit your whining and hoist some fresh Basel Grand Seiko up your pie hole?



    Look at that date window. It's spooning the chapter ring like a personal space invader. No one makes a date window like Seiko.
