Thread: Anyone used Timpsons for watch repairs?

Anyone used Timpsons for watch repairs?

The Raketa Olympic I bought from eBay arrived with the crystal practically hanging off.
The Tesco just down the road for me has a Timpsons that does watch repairs... Could they screw up replacing the knackered crystal with plexiglass?

They ship automatic watches out to central workshops rather than in house.

I bought a battery for life from them for my Tag Kirium and I've never had a problem, I always find their service excellent.

Thanks, that's good to know. I've used Ryte Time in the past for servicing, but given that I only paid £15 for the watch I don't really want to have to deal with £10 of postage charges on top of the repair.

I don't know what their prices are for servicing, I would think that they could be quite high if they're sending them away.

It's running fine, so all I need is the plexiglass fitted.

They may well be able to do that in the shop, worth asking anyway.

No, it's knackered, it's like it's got brittle and cracked. I'll post a pic tomorrow
