As far as I can see the Tag movement that is an 2892 is the Calibre 7, which for men's watches only seems, at least these days, to be used in GMT models.

The Longines name for a 2892 is L619.2, which is in the Flagship

Many Ebel three handers have ETA 2892 movements (Ebel decorated and possibly modified the movement and called it Cal 120). http://www.vanyalee.com/2014/10/ebel...-eta-2892.html
However, not all Ebel Cal 120s are ETA 2892. Unusually, Ebel used this name for 2 different movements. In 1950s-60s, they used A Schild 1203 movement which they also called Cal 120 http://www.ranfft.de/cgi-bin/bidfun-...uswk&Ebel_120&

Ebel used both chronometer and top grade ETA 2892 movements. If you can find the watches below at Movado company stores, they will be about 70% off MSRP.

Many Ebel Classic automatics (perhaps all automatics in this line, except the Hexagon line) have top grade ETA 2892-A2. IMHO the pick of this line is the Classic 100 LE ref. 9120R41 (MSRP $3200, available grey market $1050 – 1200).

Two of the Classic Wave automatics (on the wave bracelet, ref. 9120F41 with white or black dial). MSRP $2970, $1085 GM.


All Sportwave Aquatica divers (200M ref. 9120K51, 300M ref. A120K62, 500M ref. 9120K61) have top grade 2892-A2. The pick of this line is the 500M with helium release valve (MSRP $4200, available grey market $1200 - $1700).


Some steel case 1911 automatics (ref. 9120L41 with black, silver or blue dials) have top grade 2892-A2 while steel and gold models (ref. 1120L41 silver dial only) have chronometer grade. My pick, of course, would be the steel and gold chronometer with steel and gold bracelet (MSRP $4900, seems to be going for $2000 used)



The Brasilia tank three handers (ref. 9120M41 with black or silver dials) have top grade 2892-A2. MSRP $3600, $1400-$1800 GM.


1911 La Carree square watches (steel ref. 9120L43 and gold ref. 8120L40) all have top grade 2892-A2. MSRP unknown, seems to be going for $1500-$2000 used and GM.
