Injured my back weekend before last, been taking it easier. More cardio, introduced some lighter weights after a week. Much better now but still tender at times.

Have spent more time stretching. Need more of that in my life. May revisit yoga, which I did during the pandemic

Pb dumbell press 42kg for 8, perfect form. Could deffo go heavier but I have difficulty getting them up. Unsure why - tris a bit weak maybe? A rack that takes dumbells would be ideal but...

    I don't like bench.

Nicely done! Be careful throwing up that much. With db's it requires way more support muscles than sttaight bar bench. I do not like laying back with that much db weight either

New scale is finally showing what the old scale did. Side by side the new scale shows ~ 1.5 pounds more than the older one. I trust the new one better, higher price, better brand.

Last year for my backpacking trip in October I weighed 236, add 50 for the pack and I was pulling about 286 up those hills. My goal is 175 by August/September. If I can manage that, this year I'll weigh less with the pack (though I'm buying a bigger one, want the Kestrel 68) than last year without. Looking forward to more space for water/etc. This week I'm also purchasing a new sleeping bag (Kelty Cosmic 20), and trekking poles (Leki Legacy Lite).

Around July I expect to have the new Pack (& Tent - Gossamer Gear "The One") and all my new gear put together. Going to start rucking again.

Out with the dog for a light walk today.

I have to find a time of day to get additional cardio in. The morning -- before I settle in for work and/or chores -- makes the most sense, if I can grt myself up and out.
