The GMT !! is just too small no matter how many times I try it. I have to try the 40mm Explorer since the 39 looks like freckle on me. For some other brands a 39 works, but not a Rolex. I would really like a 42 mm Sub and GMT II with the hands, markers and dial size of the Explorer II. The 42 Yachtmaster also works very well with the 40 having the same issue as the GMT II and Sub. Everyone I know with larger and higher dollar Rolex collections wants more of the bigger watches. I think the 42 and more is Rolex just listening to their larger customers. I don't think 41-42 is a trend, but has become more the standard. I never really liked the thinner lugged Sub and feel the current 41 and the gen befor it in 40 looking much better.
The one Rolex I think should be bigger is the Daytona--the subdials are teeny, and it wears pretty small.

Agree. I think the is where the Zenith Chronomaster l looks better than the Daytona. You ca't argue with the Daytona's value gain.

Bigger trends? There were at least 3 34m watches released. That is _SMALL_ (what's the subtext markup in forum?) by absolutely any measure.

Is it not? I mean, I know they make other watches than just the ones in the Black Bay line, but I’m not always sure that they do. It feels like we get at least 4 Black Bay branded models for each model in any other line. It’s been 2 years since the Pelagos 39 was introduced and they still haven’t even given us a blue version yet, but just this year they’ve released at 4 Black Bay variants, more if you include different available bracelets.

I suppose it’s good that there are more sizes to fit more wrists, but I definitely don’t want to see the 40mm models erased in favor of larger ones.

I don’t mind this, and it can suspend time, which is useful.

Does it suspend time at the right moment, though?
    I don't mind it, either.
