It will probably take some getting used to. Did for me anyway

Once you do though, it can make a difference on some big lifts. The ability to focus on a squat or dl with reduced concern over back injury is nice.

Share your thoughts after trying it out!

Got most of today's steps in by meeting a friend for breakfast about 20 blocks from home and walking to and from the diner

Activity just as part of day to day living -- and not as part of planned "exercise" -- will be a crucial piece of the puzzle from me.

What's amusing about these numbers is that the "Lost" and "To Go" is based off of when I first downloaded the app at 235.2 on 04/26/2022. I hit a high (at least recorded) of 271 on 04/15/2024, and actually was at least 275 when I decided that enough was enough. I recall stepping on the scale and seeing 275'ish and figuring it was time. I wasn't counting calories in 2022 like I am now, but was a bit more active working at the psychiatric hospital. That was also around the same time I left to go back to my office job.

At 5'7, interestingly most charts still show a male "overweight" at 175. Memory serves that I was in decent military shape around there, so I'm not gonna lose much sleep on it. That was my goal then, and is the same now. If I can push a little further down I may, but I'll cross that bridge later.

It has been my direct observation that BMI seems to be a poor indicator of overall fitness. My 6 year old daughter that can run a 5k for fun, does Gymnastics/Swimming/Soccer/etc charts as "overweight". I deployed around 175-185 pounds and was just fine. Still, it's what we have, and the ballpark I'm using.

All that aside, it has probably been a decade or more since I've been under 200, and I've certainly run more in the last year than since I got out. Feels good. Bottom line, got to keep up with Freyja.

Light walk around my corner of the park. Snuck in with the pooch before the rain came.
