    Garrick makes some beautiful watches.

Your green Farer is one of my favorites.

I've been this way too for a while. I think a Finnish watch should exist in my collection, and I don't count my Suunto sports tracker.

S.U.F. designs don't speak to me, and even though I admire Sarpaneva designs, they don't feel my kind of thing. Voutilainen makes lovely dressy watches, but obviously way over my budget. Then there's many other local brands within my price range, but nona that really appeals to me. So the search continues.

    That Fears looks lovely though.

Once in awhile you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right.

I had more or less decided to sell it, but haven’t got round to it. I’m only wearing one watch since I got the Explorer.

Urgh. Don't tempt me, I absolutely have no room for more watches, I'd have to sell/trade something before I would allow myself a purchase...

How are these still the prices? I thought the availability issue has been alleviated, but that’s more than twice retail.
Having just placed an order for a GMT II there are two factors here. These have gold which puts retail at about $17.5K. Second all GMT II are a minimum 8 month wait time (Pepsi are well over a year). If you want it this year for some you’ll need to pay for it. This has been the case since 2009 for popular watches that include all SS models. Except for about a 4-6 month period Hulks had a six month or more wait time. Rolex increased the price on them about $200 every 2-3 months. Right now the hardest Rolex for an AD to get is the 42mm Titanium Yachtmaster. It’s been almost 2 years since it’s release and most AD have not seen one and the priority AD maybe have gotten one per year. I know one person that has one and he spends over $1M a year on watches. Ask to order one and the AD almost laugh.

My first reaction is that the large-ish "small seconds" dial at 9 o'clock combined with the small-ish date window at 3 o'clock makes the dial look unbalanced. I will note that the Timex Marlin with the same setup looks worse to me.
