We live on a corner lot. The lawn is quite large by everything but rural standards. Every pass required me to empty the mower of leaves left by the two large Maple Trees in the front yard. (Constantly giving us gifts of huge limbs to burn.) I think on a normal non-fall day it takes me at least 45 minutes.

Also, I apparently love to walk.

I need a deload week. I've been gymming HARD for 6 weeks now and I think my body needs a rest. But deload sucks.

Good on you for recognizing it and embracing it. Suspect some of my long nagging injuries are a result of years without proper recovery time. Went probably 3-4 years without taking more than 2 days off

Yeah I'm learning loooads of new science stuff. I don't know of it makes a different, one can obviously get jacked just by lifting lots and eating lots, buy I'm enjoying learning the process.

I can guarantee I'll be stronger after a week off though, that's from past experience.

I think being almost 40 probably reduces my stamina somewhat too.

Took 2 weeks off from dl and squat, then i achieved my best dl since the pandemic and held it for a 10 count to work on my grip

Moral of the story? That has been a failed effort in prior attempts with minimal recovery

I fell at about 3 miles on Friday. Went to cross the street, had a flashlight in my right hand and suddenly was horizontal in the road. Thankfully I was not hit by a car. Lol. Cut my hand on the flashlight pocket clip. Scraped up my right elbow as well. Didn’t scratch up my Apple Watch or my flashlight so I’m happy.

    Walked it off last night.

Swimming here in a bit after breakfast followed by some hot tub.

Just things like I never used to do ass to grass squats but now I do etc

But yeah I am eating loooads, and creatine, and I sleep minimum 8 hours a night.
