Been considering a giveaway, but last time I mentioned the general consensus was to not try to bring in new blood

really ? think new blood always good ..well almost always I can remember biff the crank who thought all the mwc guys work for eaglemoss ...

think it's the mild concern whether they fit in or cause a scene but yeah think thing have got to keep moving on or they stagnate don't they ... but was thinking missing old in this instance but new would be good too ... maybe made a mistake not continuing the mwc threads but thought with the loss of posting to try and freshen up the sub-forum maybe in fact I made it worse ? ....

but how the world is I think made us all.... to some degree put watches on the back burner ....

Well… affordable watches are regularly posted in Central and the ‘legacy’ aspect of this forum is a dim memory for most, if they even know it.

To be honest, if IWL was my sole domain I would close all of the sub-forums, merging their content with Central. We’re not big enough to be various, and I’m not sure we ever were.

Owned a forum for a decade. The last few years, after Facebook groups came about and really slowed us down, we would use holidays to send out an email "Merry Christmas" or "Happy New Year" email with a link to a thread on the topic. It helped pull some back in
