Doppelganger by Naomi Klein. Thank goodness she has a light funny style, because the topic is scary and dark. Well written, surprisingly personal (considering that she's writing about the spread of evil falsehoods in our technologically enabled info-chaos.)
Too many watches, not enough wrists.

Fascinating read. So much has changed about politics and media in the intervening 64 years, but some basic truths about campaigning remain.
Many of White's conclusions are hopelessly out of date, but a few of his observations are absolutely prescient.
I also can't shake the sense that everyone involved in this campaign stood on the edge of a precipice they could not see. No one could possibly have predicted the political, cultural and social upheaval that the 60's would bring.

This is a weird one for me. I’m uncomfortable all the time, I’m constantly in a state of discomfort and agitation, and more often than not, noticeable physical pain. It hasn’t led me to be happy or healthy, it’s led to anxiety, smoking, and gray hair. How are you finding this?

I suspect it's more 'get our of your comfort zone and try something new and exciting' than 'holiday in guantamano for a week'
